An "Ankara Declaration" had been released after the meeting which also foresaw the formation of the "joint working group", comprised of high-level representatives from the three countries to monitor developments and ensure coordination of confidence- building measures.

Under the declaration, Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to boost their bilateral relations and good neighborhood, respect territorial integrity of each other, and not to intervene in each other''s internal affairs.

The two countries also decided to launch concerted efforts to fight against terrorism and to facilitate return of Afghan refugees in Pakistan back to their homeland.
