Seven people were slightly injured during the running of the bull festival in Spain's Pamplona on Saturday.

One Australian man was injured slightly and one Spaniard suffered a minor shoulder injury after being tossed in the air by one of the bulls and falling down on the path, according to local officials.

This year, the San Fermin Festival began with six bulls from Dolores Aguirre and will be concluded on July 14. The lightest bull weighed 550 kilograms and the heaviest 615 kilograms.

Since records began in 1924, 13 people have been killed in the running of the bulls in Pamplona. The latest event happened in 1995 in which a 22-year-old American man was gored to death by a bull.

Tourist from all over the world are keen in this traditional Spanish festival despite high risks. Over 200,000 people participated in the festival last year.
