Palestinian security sources and witnesses said that an Israeli army force arrested a senior member of al-Aqsa Brigades, armed wing of Fatah movement, in West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday. Witnesses said the Israeli army force surrounded a building in the city and arrested Nidal al-Faqeeh, commander of al-Aqsa Brigades in Nablus, adding that another activist and the building's landlord were also arrested. Dozens of Israeli armored vehicles and personnel carriers stormed the city of Nablus before dawn, surrounded the building for two hours and detained three people, including al-Faqeeh, they said. The group said in a leaflet that the arrest of al-Faqeeh, who is wanted by the Israeli security intelligence for several years, "would never break our determination to struggle against the occupation."
