The security forces have released 134 people from the Lal Masjid (red mosque) militants on Tuesday in an operation, a TV channel PTV reported.

Those who were secured included 85 men, 27 women and 22 children, according to PTV.

Meanwhile, the supreme court asked the Interior Ministry to provide on Friday a complete list of casualty in the operation and the number of people evacuated, arrested, and released by the government.

Government officials confirmed that 50 militants were killed and the security forces lost 9 soldiers in the operation on Tuesday.

A high-level meeting chaired by President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday asked the security forces to ensure the safety of hostages still inside the mosque.
