However, a senior NRP member said that Funcinpec and NRP are difficult to merge, because both members used to have personal conflicts and their individualism is also the major obstacle.
Funcinpec is Cambodia''s largest and oldest royalist party. It has been co-governing the kingdom with the Cambodian People''s Party (CPP), which now enjoys clear advantage in the government, the Senate and the National Assembly.
