Some 64 percent of French people polled have said they feel satisfied with Nicolas Sarkozy's actions as president in July, against 26 percent who have expressed dissatisfaction, according to a survey conducted by Opinionway published Friday in the Metro newspaper.

According to the survey, the head of state's satisfaction rating has progressed by six points compared with June.

For the French prime minister Francois Fillon, with a 57 percent satisfaction score, his rating has increased by five points against 30 percent of those unhappy about his actions as head of government.

Among the ministers, it's Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner who scores the highest ratings with 70 percent of those polled saying they are satisfied, compared with 16 percent of those dissatisfied.

He is followed closely by the Keeper of Seals Rachida Dati who has 66 percent satisfaction rating against 19 percent, while Environment Minister Jean-Louis Borloo and Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie, have each scored 60 percent satisfaction rating against 20 percent of those dissatisfied.

The survey was carried out by telephone from July 9 to July 12 from a sample of 1,020 people, representative of the French population aged from 18 and above.
