A Brooklyn-based military intelligence officer is accepting bids for his solution to the Iraq war on eBay to bring attention to the war costs, New York Post reported on Monday.

Army Captain Thad Krasnesky, a veteran of both Iraq wars and a fluent Arabic speaker, says he is offering the solution to the war in Iraq to the highest bidder.

"This is not a flippant or facetious offer ... There will be no joke forwarded to you if you are the winning bidder. If you are the highest bidder, I will send you a viable solution to the conflict in which we are currently engaged," Krasnesky said.

Although Krasnesky set the auction-ending "Buy It Now" price at 5 million dollars, while the opening bid for the five-page solution will start at one dollar.

The listing, open to bidding through July 22, has generated over 100 online bids.

"This war has currently cost us somewhere around four hundred billion dollars and over 3,500 American lives," Krasnesky wrote. " My buy-it-now price of 5 million seems perfectly reasonable by comparison. I'm not even asking you to risk your life."

Krasnesky, who lost friends in the war, said, "this war is not a concept, a philosophy, or a political agenda to me. It is a highly personal issue that I have applied an objective detachment to in order to arrive at a logical conclusion."

"All I'm trying to do is get attention," Krasnesky said.

The married father of two said he would continue to speak out on the war - even if it costs him his career.
