Four civilians and one security person were injured in a roadside blast Wednesday near a convoy of security forces in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region, bordering Afghanistan, the private DAWN NEWS TV channel reported.
The explosion occurred in Miranshah, while the convoy is heading to Bannu, reports said.
A suicide bomber exploded himself Tuesday at a checkpost of security forces in Mir Ali, a major town in North Waziristan, leaving at least one solder killed and four others injured.
In another incident, unknown people blew up two security checkposts in Miranshah in the wee hours of Tuesday, fortunately with no casualties.
Armed tribes in North Waziristan on July 15 unilaterally scrapped a ten-month-long peace agreement with the government and threatened to launch guerrilla-style attacks against security forces in the region.
