Polish, Lithuanian presidents hold phone talk

In a phone talk on Tuesday Polish President Lech Kaczynski informed his Lithuanian counterpart Valdas Adamkus about the course and results of his last-week's working visit to the U.S., Polish PAP news agency reported.

The Polish president stressed that the atmosphere of talks with the U.S. president and other officials was very good and friendly.

The Polish and Lithuanian presidents discussed also the current situation in Central and Eastern Europe.

On behalf of the Lithuanian people, President Adamkus conveyed to President Kaczynski condolences in connection with the tragic accident of a Polish bus in France on Sunday that claimed 26 lives, Polish Presidential Chancellery said.
