The children library building adjacent to a radical mosque in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad was demolished Wednesday.
The federal development authority has declared the children library's building dangerous along with the Jamia Hafsa religious school after the operation early this month against Lal Masjid, a radical mosque in Islamabad, according to a report by the private Geo TV.
The authorities decided to demolish the building and the library books were Tuesday transferred to some other place.
It is recalled that the girl students of the Jamia Hafsa religious school have occupied the library building before the operation against militants in Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa.
The work on demolishing the damaged building of Jamia Hafsa is in progress and will be completed within a week.
The renovation of the Lal Masjid mosque is under way at a faster pace and the mosque is expected to open for Friday prayers on July 27.
