Morocco and the United Arab Emirates have concluded a technical cooperation agreement for the promotion of labor, the Moroccan News Agency (MAP) reported Wednesday.

The agreement, which was signed Tuesday, is aimed at upgrading the level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the domains of employment and social protection.

The aim is to come up with a joint plan of action to establish an organization for Moroccan nationals working in the United Arab Emirates, through the enforcement of the provisions of an earlier agreement that was reached in 1981.

The agreement equally calls for the sharing of expertise and information in the integration, training and professionalization of the youth especially through the organization of exchange visits between officials and experts of the two countries as well as the organization of training sessions in order to improve and develop the provision of services and assistance to young job seekers.

The two countries also committed to establish a program for technical cooperation with regard to management in various fields such as the promotion of employment, management of markets and social dialogue.
