A suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance of a police station in a northern Iraqi town on Thursday, killing at least six people and wounding 13 others, local police said. A suicide bomber wearing an explosive-belt blew himself up at the police station of Tal Abta town, 80 km west of Mosul, the source from Mosul police told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The attack killed five policemen and a civilian, and wounded 13 people, including 10 policemen, the source said.
Mosul, 400 km north of Baghdad, is the capital of Nineveh province, where the town of Tal Abta located in.
