Head of the Palestinian National Administration Mahmoud Abbas is to pay a three-day visit to Moscow from July 29, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Mikhail Kamynin said Thursday.

During the visit, Abbas will discuss with Russian leaders the Palestinian-Israeli peace process and the situation in the Middle East.

"It is very important for the Palestinian National Authority to continue consultations with Russian officials. We will speak about the peace process in the Middle East and ways to give it a boost," Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Baker Abdel Monem was quoted by the Interfax news agency as saying.
