Seven people, including two policemen were killed and at least 11 others injured in two bomb attacks in the restive city of Fallujah, a local police source said on Saturday.
A roadside bomb detonated on Saturday morning near a passing police patrol in the Hay Nazzal neighborhood in the city and damaged a police vehicle, killing two policemen and wounding another on board, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Earlier on Friday night, five civilians were killed and at least ten others were injured when an explosive-charge went off inside a minibus carrying passengers in central Fallujah, according to the source.
Fallujah, some 50 km west of Baghdad, is part of the volatile province of Anbar and has long been the hot bed of insurgency against U.S. troops and Iraqi security forces since 2003.
