Two Iraqis were killed and 40 others wounded in Baghdad on Sunday when soccer fans fired weapons into the air to celebrate their team's won in 2007 Asian Cup, an Interior Ministry source said.

"According to our reports, Baghdad hospitals received two bodies killed by random shootout and some 40 others were wounded," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Thousands of Iraqi fans took to the streets celebrating a 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia in the 14th Asian Cup final in Jakarta, Indonesia, defying vehicle curfews and gunfire ban.
