French Socialist Party (PS), the main leftist opposition party in France, accused the government Monday of instigating provocation with its draft law project on minimum transport services, which, according to the party, could interfere with the employees' right to strike.
The draft law project adopted by senate compels workers to declare their intention to strike 48 hours in advance.
This is "for us a social regression and constitutes a serious breach of the workers' rights," said the PS national secretary Faouzi Lambdaoui, during a press conference, adding "the right has decided to interfere with the right of workers to strike."
"The government has decided for ideological reasons to add fuel to the fire by scorning workers and unions. This law is a provocation which risks igniting social unrests," he affirmed.
