Spain has arrested 14 people suspected of having links with a Italy-based crime group, said the National Guard on Monday.
The detainees, including Spaniards, Moroccans and Italians, were seized in an operation named Tizona, held simultaneously in Marbella, Malaga, Fuengirola, Zaragoza and Ceuta. Among the arrested is a leader of the Mazzarella crime family, part of the Camorra criminal organization.
The arrested have been charged with a total of 51 crimes, including drug trafficking, forgery and money laundering.
Camorra is a criminal organization based in the Italian city of Naples and its surrounding region since the 19th century. It also has branches in Spain, Scotland and the United States.
