Taliban militants have executed four local judges being abducted in Afghanistan's central Ghazni province, a purported Taliban spokesman Mullah Tariq said Wednesday.
The Taliban has killed the four judges on Tuesday evening, who were working for the government, Tariq told Xinhua from an undisclosed place.
Abdul Rahim, chief of Andar district in Ghanzi, told Xinhua the police found the four judges' bodies in the district at 6:00 a.m. local time (0130 GMT) Wednesday.
An official at the press department of Interior Ministry said the four judges were abducted by the militants from Sultan Bagh area in Ghazni some 10 days ago.
The incident occurred in the same province where Taliban insurgents abducted 23 South Koreans on July 19. Two male hostages have been killed by the Taliban.
