Zambia arrested over 30 foreigners last weekend for forgery, illegal entry and stay in the country, according to Times of Zambia on Wednesday.
It quoted a spokesperson of the Immigration Department Mulako Mbangweta as saying here Tuesday that the 34 foreigners were arrested in Kabwe and Ndola, capitals of Central and Copperbelt provinces.
She said that the commitment of the department to ensure illegal immigrants are brought to book will continue.
The arrested include Somalis, Ghanaians and Burundese.
Some of them were arrested for illegal staying and working without permits, altering the Immigration Department date stamps by changing the dates to allow them to stay in the country.
