At least 10 people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a suicide oil tanker bomb attack in a petrol station in western Baghdad on Wednesday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A suicide bomber drove an oil tanker rigged with explosives and blew it up in a busy petrol station in Mansour neighborhood at about 2:00 p.m. (1000 GMT), killing at least 10 people and wounding more than 20 others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The powerful explosion set many cars ablaze and badly damaged the station, he said, citing initial police reports.
The toll could rise as fire engines rushed to the scene while ambulances and civilian vehicles continue evacuating killed and wounded people, the source said.
