Four militants were killed in a clash with government forces in the southern Russian republic of Dagestan, local police said on Friday.
Special units of the Dagestani Interior Ministry were involved in the clash, which occurred on Thursday evening, Interfax news agency quoted a police officer as saying.
High-ranking officials of the ministry had arrived at the scene to investigate, police said.
