Ten militants and 4 security personnel were killed in crossfires in northwestern Pakistan on Saturday morning, a Pakistani military spokesman said.
The security checkposts in Miranshah, headquarters of North Waziristan tribal region, came under attack by a group of militants at about 3 a.m. local time on Saturday (2200 GMT Friday), Pakistan's military spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad confirmed.
At least 10 militants were killed in crossfires followed the attack, Arshad said, adding that four security force soldiers were killed and four others were injured in the clashes.
