At least three personnel of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) were injured in a bomb attack on their bus near the Pakistani North Western city of Peshawar on Monday, the News Network International news agency reported.
Police said a bomb, planted near the road, detonated through a remote control, smashing few windows of the bus, according to NNI.
Unidentified men threw a hand grenade at the bus and then fled from the scene, added the NNI report, quoting witnesses.
The bus was packed with PAF officers and members of their families, who were coming to Peshawar for duties.
An earlier report of private DAWN NEWS said two PAF vehicles were damaged in the remote-controlled bombing.
There was no immediate responsibility claim.
Pakistan, especially its northwest frontier, has seen escalating violence, most of which were attacks on security forces or policemen.
A series of attacks or clashes have left over 300 people killed across Pakistan since early July.
Armed tribals in North Waziristan tribal region, bordering Afghanistan, scrapped a peace accord reached with authorities in September 2006 in middle July and threatened more attacks on security forces deployed there.
North West Frontier Province (NWFP) of which Peshawar is the provincial capital, also saw a tightened security situation following several deadly attacks on security personnel in middle July.
Some attacks in NWFP were considered by local reports to be militancy backlash from the government operation against Islamabad- based hard-line Lal Masjid, or Red Mosque in July which resulted in about 103 deaths.
