Three Afghan NGO workers were found murdered on Monday in the southern Kandahar province, an official said.
The three persons, who were employees of a mine-clearance NGO named MDC, were kidnapped by unknown militants two days ago, said Abdul Hakim, a commander of intelligence service in Kandahar.
Their bodies were found in Panjwai district in the province on Monday, he said, adding it was unknown when and why they were killed.
Kandahar has been a hotbed of Taliban militants, who have carried out kidnappings frequently.
Due to rising Taliban violence, over 3,800 persons have been killed in Afghanistan this year.
