A truck collided with a minibus carrying workers in central Turkey late on Monday, killing 24 people, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Tuesday.

The report said the serious accident occurred near Kangal town of Sivas province due to an unknown reason, adding that no one in both vehicles survived the accident.

The highway was closed to traffic for a long time to allow search-and-rescue teams to recover the bodies from the crashed vehicles, added the report.
