Bangladesh and China has very good relationship, especially in the field of military, Bangladesh Naval Chief Lieutenant General Sarwar Jahan Nizam said Wednesday in Dhaka.
While receiving at the Zia International Airport a high-profile Chinese military delegation led by Chen Bingde, member of the Chinese Central Military Commission and director of the General Armament Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Nizam said the Bangladeshi people always regard China as a good friend.
He said China has given the Bangladeshi armed forces a lot of assistance and they are very grateful to that.
Chen Bingde said he is very happy to visit Bangladesh. He hoped his visit can promote the relations between the two countries and the two armed forces.
Learning that Bangladesh is suffering from flood, Chen told the naval chief that they will donate some medicine to Bangladesh during their three-day visit.
Bangladesh is the first stop of the Chinese military delegation 's three-nation visit which will also cover Indonesia and Brunei.
