Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will pay a goodwill visit to Myanmar in the near future, said an official announcement from Nay Pyi Taw Saturday without giving the date of his visit.
According to Vietnamese official sources, Tan Dung, who reassumed the premiership in July this year, is to visit the country as the fourth leg of his introductory tour to five member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) -- Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar and Brunei.
Tan Dung's visit is aimed at strengthening friendly and cooperative relations with Myanmar, especially in economy, trade and investment, the Vietnamese sources said.
