The Taliban has decided not to release any of the South Korean captives, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported on Sunday.

"Our leaders have changed their minds and decided not to free two female hostages," an alleged Taliban spokesman Yousuf Ahmadi was quoted by Yonhap as saying. Yonhap said the alleged spokesman delivered the message to Yonhap through telephone.

Earlier reports on Sunday said that Taliban was expected to release two female South Korean hostages.

A total of 23 South Koreans were kidnapped by Taliban militants on July 19. The kidnappers have already executed two male hostages so far.
