Floods killed 67 people and left eight others missing in Vietnam's central and central highlands region as of Sunday, according to a local flood and storm prevention agency on Monday.
The natural disaster, that happened since early this month, respectively claimed 29 and 15 lives in the central provinces of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh, and 15 and five in the central highlands provinces of Dac Lac and Lam Dong, said the country's Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention.
The flooding has also inundated many houses, irrigation works and paddy fields, and uprooted a number of trees.
Natural disasters, including storms, hails and landslides in Vietnam killed 22 people and injured 119 others in the first half of this year, according to the country's General Statistics Office.
