A 28-year-old woman died Tuesday on the Indonesian resort island of Bali after being treated for allegedly developing bird flu symptoms.
She used to work as chicken trader in Tabanan regency.
If confirmed, she could become the second bird flu casualty on the island, following the death of another woman from Jembrana regency.
"She had developed clinical symptoms similar to those of a woman who died of bird flu last week," Dr. Putu Andrika with Bali's Sanglah Hospital was quoted by leading news website Detikcom as saying.
