Bolivian President Evo Morales on Saturday visited Pisco, one of the worst-hit Peruvian cities by a devastating earthquake, and brought 20 tons of relief goods to quake victims.
The goods were ferried to the Pisco airport by two military airplanes. On Aug. 16, Bolivia already sent a plane-load of aid to the victims in Pisco.
Morales said at the local airport that his country will further enhance "social cooperation" with neighboring Peru and continue to offer humanitarian assistance to Peruvian quake victims.
Morales was met at the airport by Peruvian President Alan Garcia.
A 7.9-magnitude earthquake hit southern Peru on Aug. 15, killing 550 people dead and about 1,600 others injured. About 70 percent of houses in Pisco were destroyed.
