Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M) expressed serious concern over the recent media report regarding his wishes to postpone the Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
Issuing a press statement on Sunday, Prachanda dismissed the allegations reported in Nepali news media that CPN-M is in favor of postponing the CA election slated on Nov. 22.
Prachanda accused the elements who were responsible for the postponement of the CA elections scheduled for May earlier of trying to defame the party instead of creating the necessary pre- requisites for the election.
Expressing astonishment over the attempts by certain elements to mislead the general public by distorting a comment made in a different context during an interaction program, chairman of the CPN-M Prachanda, on behalf of the Party, urged all the party cadres, general public and well-wishers not to pay heed to such propaganda.
