An outbreak of cholera in a flood-hit eastern Indian state has killed 80 people in the past 15 days, news reports said Tuesday.
The outbreak has affected Orissa's Rayagada, Koraput and Kalahandi districts where more than 2,000 people have been admitted to hospital, a BBC report posted on its Website said.
It quoted unofficial sources as saying the death toll could be as high as 200.
Cholera is a severe gastrointestinal disease often caused by consuming contaminated water or food.
