An Israeli civilian was injured by Qassam rocket launched by Palestinian militants from Gaza on Tuesday, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman told Xinhua.

The spokesman said the rocket launched from northern Gaza Strip hit a house in the southern Israeli city of Sderot and lightly injured a man.

The wounded has been evacuated to a nearby hospital, said the spokesman, noting that nearly 100 Qassam rockets have been launched against Israel in the past month.
