Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah movement loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas, claimed responsibility on Tuesday for launching one homemade rocket from Gaza at southern Israel.
The group said in a leaflet sent to reporters that its militants fired an "advanced rocket" from Gaza at the town of Sderot in southern Israel, adding that the militants fled the area after firing the rocket.
It was the first time that the group launches such kind of advanced homemade rockets called "Aqsa," the leaflet said, noting that it caused severe damage.
"This attack is a natural response to the daily Israeli crimes committed against our people everyday in the Palestinian territories. Resistance against the occupation wouldn't stop," said the leaflet.
Meanwhile, Israeli Radio, quoted Israeli security sources, as saying that one homemade rocket fired from Gaza wounded three Israelis and destroyed a deserted building in the town of Sderot.
