Japan and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will hold the second working group meeting to normalize diplomatic ties in Ulan Bator on Sept. 5, the Mongolian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

A press officer of the ministry said Mongolia would not attend the meeting.

The DPRK and Japan held talks on normalizing their diplomatic relations in March in Hanoi, Vietnam, but they reached no agreement due to their disagreement on the abduction issue.
