Palestinian witnesses said they heard two huge explosions in Gaza City on Tuesday night as a result of Israeli air strikes on a car, which drove in the western neighborhood of the city.
The witnesses said that Israeli aircraft fired two air-to- ground missiles at the car, but missed it, adding that car fled the scene and passengers inside had survived.
The airstrike on the car came shortly after Palestinian militants of Islamic Jihad (Holy War) claimed responsibility for launching one rocket from southern Gaza at Israel. No injuries were reported.
