The Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) on Tuesday sent a new batch of emergency aid to the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The aid package, including medical drugs and equipment worth 250,000 Jordan Dinar (about 353,000 U.S. dollars), will be delivered to Al-Maqased Hospital in Jerusalem and to hospitals in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
According to JHCO Secretary-General Abdul Salam Al Abbadi, the organization will dispatch more assistance of medical and foodstuff to the Palestinian territories in the coming few days and during Ramadan, the Muslim holy month which falls in mid- September.
The JHCO has sent about 230 aid convoys to help the Palestinians over the past three years with a total cost of 50 million Jordan Dinar, according to official statistics. (1 USD = 0. 708 Jordan Dinar)
