Four Malaysian shuttlers leave Indonesia amid protests |

Four Malaysian shuttlers who were competing in an international tournament in Indonesia decided to return home Wednesday for security concerns amid growing anti- Malaysia protests.
Hundreds of people staged rally in Jakarta and the East Java capital of Surabaya in protests to the beating of an Indonesian karate referee by four policemen in the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan last Friday.
The organizers of the Indonesia Challenge badminton tournament in Surabaya said four Malaysian players have flown to Jakarta to get flights to Kuala Lumpur.
The four were identified as Pie Wee Chung, Teo Yu Kheng, Ho Kek Mong and Chew Koe Seang.
Separately in Jakarta, hundreds of karate athletes marched to the Malaysian Embassy compound to demand prosecution against the four policemen accused of assaulting karate referee Donald Luther Kolopita.
They also urged the Malaysian government to apologize over the incident.
