An Israeli tank shell has killed three Palestinian children and injured two others in northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday afternoon, witnesses and paramedics said.
The witnesses said the three were killed when a group of children approached a rocket launcher used earlier by Palestinian militants in Beit Hanoun town, a place often used by the fighters to shell nearby Israeli communities.
As soon as the children got closer, a tank shell landed on the abandoned launcher, killing three children and injuring two others. Paramedics said the three dead were aged between 10 and 11.
Meanwhile, sources from Islamic Hamas movement announced that a member of Hamas armed wing had died in the day in a Gaza hospital due to wounds he sustained following an Israeli air raid earlier in the month.
