Nepali Maoist affiliated activists snatch weapons from police

Activists of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist)(CPN-M) youth wing confiscated arms and ammunition from a police team in southern Nepal on Wednesday.

According to the local media house's website nepalnews.com, more than 200 CPN-M aligned Young Communist League (YCL) activists attacked a police team at Choharwa area of Siraha District, situated some 150 km south of the capital city, and snatched away three rifles along with 115 rounds of bullets from them.

Confirming the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mingmar Lama said that a manhunt has been launched to nab the looters.
