Cambodian PM leaves for Malaysia to join Independence Day celebration

Prime Minister Hun Sen left here early Thursday morning for Kuala Lumpur to take part in the Independence Day celebration to be held on Friday.

He led "a high delegation to attend the 50th anniversary of the Independence Day of Malaysia" upon the invitation of the Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

He will return to Phnom Penh on Saturday.
