The second batch of stranded Palestinians in the Gaza Strip left the territory on Thursday, passing through Israeli crossings before they are allowed into Egypt.
The group is made of 146 travelers, 50 of whom were going to stay in Egypt and the others will continue their trip to various countries, authorities said.
Israel, Egypt and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) reached the mechanism after Islamic Hamas movement seized control of Gaza in June and caused the closure of Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt.
First, the travelers go through Erez crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel after passing through tough security examination. Israeli buses then take them to the Israeli-Egyptian border.
The authorities said that some 4,000 Palestinians who were visiting Gaza during the violent takeover of Gaza in mid June are still stuck in the Hamas-run coastal enclave.
The departure of this group has been delayed for two days due to Israeli closure of Erez in response to mortar shells attack by the Palestinian factions on the passageway.
