Sacked Hamas government accused the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) on Sunday of inciting the people to renew anarchy and disorder in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip.
"The government expresses its discontent from the campaign of riot, violence and terror incitement that the remains of the PLO still practice," a statement by Hamas administration said.
On Saturday, the PLO convened in West Bank city of Ramallah and President Mahmoud Abbas chaired the meeting. The body issued a statement urging the people to hold Friday prayers in public squares, defying a Hamas' ban.
Last Friday, Hamas' Executive Forces arrested dozens of Fatah supporters who demonstrated on the streets of the Gaza Strip after they prayed away from the Hamas-influenced mosques.
Hamas took control of the enclave on June 14 after routing Fatah forces and pro-Abbas security from the Strip. The power struggle between Hamas and Fatah started when the Islamic movement won 2006 parliamentary elections.
Hamas government, which doesn't recognize being fired by Abbas, hinted that it will crush any Fatah rally that might be held next Friday.
"We won't allow anyone to play with the people security and we will take all procedures to secure the safety and security of Gaza Strip," said a statement from Hamas.
