A lorry hit a motorbike in Vietnam's central Ha Tinh province on Tuesday morning, killing three local students, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The accident happened in Ky Anh town when the lorry running in the north-south way collided with the motorbike carrying the three young men running on the wrong lane in the opposite direction.
The students died on the spot, said the agency.
In 2006, Vietnam experienced 14,727 traffic accidents which killed 12,757 people and injured 11,288 others, according to the country's National Traffic Safety Committee. Of the total accident cases, 14,161 were road accidents which claimed 12,373 lives and injured 11,097 people.
