An explosion has destroyed a jeep of a Hamas member in southern Gaza city early Tuesday, the second such incident in two days, witnesses said.
The witnesses said that a Mitsubishi Magnum was parked in front of the owner's house in al-Sabra neighborhood when the blast went off.
On Saturday, a similar explosion had occurred and it targeted a car for another Hamas member in the same area. No one has claimed responsibility for it at the time.
Hamas police force, better known as the Executive Forces, has launched a probe into the series of mysterious bombings that started recently to target Hamas members.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, or Hamas, seized control of Gaza Strip in mid June after routing forces loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah movement.
Later, a pro-Fatah news agency has reported that a group calling itself "the martyrs of Palestinian security services and the coup martyrs brigades" has claimed responsibility for four explosions aimed at Hamas.
The news agency added it had received a statement from the previously-unknown group which also claimed the responsibility.
For Fatah, Hamas' takeover of Gaza was a coup against the Palestinian legitimacy.
