Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned terrorist attacks which took place in Rawalpindi, Pakistan on Tuesday.

The ministry said in a statement that "Turkey is deeply saddened by terrorist attacks killing 24 people and wounding 66 people that took place in Rawalpindi, Pakistan on Sept. 4."

The Turkish authorities always underlined the importance of international cooperation in fighting against terrorism during their talks, said the statement.

Pakistan has seen escalating violence over the past two months. Besides the attacks happened in Rawalpindi, two deadly suicide bombings rocked Islamabad in July, killing at least 30 and injuring around 100, according to media reports.
