Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyno will have a bilateral meeting with U.S. President George W. Bush on Saturday in the side line of the Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) leaders meeting in Sydney, Australia, an Indonesian presidential spokesman said.
"On Sept. 8, President Susilo will bilaterally meet with Bush in the APEC summit," spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said.
The spokesman said that among the topics to be discussed were climate change and bird flu.
Indonesia is a developing country which has rain forest, which, experts said, contributes to the global warming through haze it produce from frequent forest fires.
Besides, the country is also the hardest-hit country by bird flu with 84 fatalities out of 105 cases.
