Russia will grant Indonesia one billion U.S. dollars credit line to enable the country to purchase military hardware, Indonesian Presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said on Wednesday.
The agreement was due to be signed on Thursday during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Jakarta, said Dino.
Indonesian Defense Minister Juwono Sudarsono said that the fund would be used for buying two submarines, four attacking helicopters for the army and six war-vehicles for marine.
In August Indonesia purchased six Sukhoi jet-fighter from Russia.
