The Arab foreign ministers who attended the Arab League's 128th sessions here Wednesday approved two draft resolutions on means of resolving Iraqi issues, Egypt's official MENA news agency reported.

MENA quoted Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari as saying that the approved resolutions are also related to ways of helping Iraqi refugees temporarily in neighboring Syria and Jordan.

Zebari said that the Cairo-based Arab League (AL) will open an account for helping Iraqi refugees.

He revealed that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had recently dispatched diplomatic mandates to Iraq to probe means of opening embassies in Baghdad, hoping that other Arab countries would follow suit.

The foreign ministers, during their meeting, also urged Arab countries to promote their diplomatic presence in Iraq, said Zebari.

According to the top Iraqi diplomat, the Arab foreign ministers also highlighted the importance of the Arab-Iranian dialogue, saying they highlighted the importance of cementing relations among the Mideast countries, especially Iraq and Iran.
